blog number 5

Blog 5 - How did the second contemporary issue effect your principles? Are you better able to see areas where your principles need adjusting? What adjustments need to be made? Which philosopher's position was least consistent with your own principles and why?
Abortion.
well i suppose that it did effect my principles. for example "do on to other as you want done on to you" tell someone that they can not have an abortion is wrong. you are telling them how to live their life. you are taking away there freedom and i would not want that! in this case i do not think that my principales need adjusting. i would never tell a woman that abortion was wrong, no let me rephrase that i would never tell a woman abortion was wrong in the beginning of the pregnancy. however a late term abortion is murder, any which way you look at it. if that baby was taken out it could potentially live on its own. that is when you have to draw the line between abortion and murder.  the philosopher i agree the least with would be Noonan. one because he is a man, and for him to say that he thinks it shouldn't be allowed AT ALL is ridicules. he is a man and will never have to go through that situation. also there are things that i do not agree with with warren to but i do not agree with any thing Noonan says.
